THE READING CLINIC BY GRADE A
The Reading Clinic by Grade A is a specialized reading intervention
programme designed to help children develop the skills needed
to become confident, independent readers.
The programme was developed by Ms. Charlene Morris,
BA (Hons) Linguistics, The University of the West Indies, a language
specialist with almost 20 years of experience helping children improve
their reading abilities and achieve academic success.
Every child's journey begins with an in-depth reading assessment
and a parent questionnaire. The information gathered is used to
identify strengths, areas of need, and to place students appropriately
within the programme.
The Reading Clinic by Grade A utilizes proprietary instructional materials,
structured literacy practices, and individualized intervention plans to
provide targeted support based on each child's unique learning profile.

A paid, in-depth test plus consultation that pinpoints phonics, fluency, and comprehension needs.

Based on results, we determine if your child will benefit from one-on-one tutoring or a small Reading Clinic class.

Regular progress reports, resources, and feedback to track your child’s growth.

What’s the difference between the free skills test and the paid assessment?
The Free Skills Test is a quick online check to flag strengths and gaps. The Detailed Assessment is an in-depth evaluation plus a consultation that pinpoints phonics, fluency, and comprehension needs and outlines a custom plan. Asseesments cost $300. Parents are given a written report on what is observed as well as pur recommendations on the way forward.
Do you offer online and in-person sessions?
Yes—families can choose online (Grade A Connect) or in-person one-on-one support. One on one online sessions costs $85 an hour while in person costs $120 an hour. (1.5 hours minimum for in- person one on one sessions. Our reading group classes cost $1200 per term or $500 monthly.
Who is the Reading Clinic for?
Infants to Standard 5 students who need help with phonics, fluency, comprehension, or reading confidence.
Will my child be in a class or one-on-one?
After the assessment, we place students in one-on-one tutoring or a small Reading Clinic class, depending on level and needs.
How soon will I see progress?
Many families notice improvements in confidence and fluency within a few weeks; deeper comprehension growth follows with consistent practice.
